Family: Meruliaceae
Meruliaceae - family of fungi within order Polyporales.
Fruit bodies resupinate (corticioid) or ascending (polyporoid), in some species with well-developed cap, soft, annual. Surface of fruit bodies may be smooth or pubescent, colored in whitish or brownish tones. Hyphal system in vast majority of species monomitic, however representatives with dimitic system also known, hyphae usually with clamp connections. Cystidia often present.
Hymenophore smooth, spiny, folded or weakly developed tubular. Spores from elliptical to cylindrical, white, non-amyloid, collected 2-4 on narrow basidia.
