Genus: Candolleomyces

Candolleomyces is a genus of fungi in the family Psathyrellaceae.

The genus Candolleomyces was established in 2020 by German mycologists Dieter Wächter and Andreas Melzer when the family Psathyrellaceae was split based on phylogenetic analysis. Many members of the genus Psathyrella were reclassified within Candolleomyces.

Etymology

Candolle, a, um, dedicated to the French botanist and mycologist Augustin Pyramus de Candolle (1778 – 1841).
